Baan Dek provides access to education, health and safety services for all people who are exposed to neglect, social exclusion and abuse in urban slums and construction site camps in Chiang Mai, Thailand - be they Thai, stateless or migrant children.

Every year, Baan Dek supports more than 1,300 vulnerable children living in over 40 construction site camps through a variety of social programs that are tailored to the children’s needs and ensure holistic, measurable social impact.

Baan Dek forms partnerships with key private stakeholders in the construction sector with a view toward sector-wide improvements.

In 2018, Baan Dek opened its first office base in Bangkok to achieve greater impact
that can be scaled up and replicated to support many more disadvantaged children.

Baan Dek will leverage its Chiang Mai Framework for Action as key recommendations for improving the fundamental rights of all children living in construction site camps throughout Thailand, in addition to other populations of vulnerable children who will continue to be supported.
