Fortify Rights
Overview
Fortify Rights works to ensure human rights for all through a multi-dimensional approach:
They investigate human rights violations: the team collects, documents and analyses evidence of human rights violations.
They engage people with power on solutions: the team shares their evidence-based research findings on violations and recommendations for solutions with people with power and the media. Alongside their partners, Fortify Rights has held audiences with senior government officials in the countries they work in, the U.N. Security Council, the White House, the U.K. and E.U. members of parliament, and others. Fortify Rights also has Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council.
They strengthen the work of human rights defenders: Fortify Rights provides skill- and knowledge-based training and technical support, facilitates access to opportunities, and ensures protection for at-risk human rights defenders.
